Swaving Marketing Has Been Connecting Communities With Their Local Restaurants Since 2005
However, Our Story Begins Much Earlier When Our Unique Family Restaurants Came To Life!

HERE The Music
Swaving Marketing, the producers of Swavimages, was established in 2005 with Concierge Connections the first Wine & Town Tour in Sonoma County Wine Country which featured 50 "Free" Wine Tasting Rooms & Restaurants promoted through 12 hotels & Resorts in 3 townships.
After growing up in the first Pizzaria Style Restaurant with Atmosphere in the State of Texas with her family Restaurants being opened for decades, Michelle Swaving, owner of Swaving Marketing & former Owner of the Original Italian Inn, witnessed how innovative promotions can have such an impact on the long term success of a Restaurant, inspired her to study Advertising, PR & Mass Media at UTA .
Michelle has devoted her career to Presentation Sales, Promotional Marketing, Print, Radio & Online Advertising, rising to the top in her profession, with great success primarily within the Restaurant, Private Resort & Promotional Marketing Arenas.
Restaurant Ownership & Promotions
"Here you are family," our motto used for decades until Olive Garden came to Town

My Mom and Pop opened the first Pizzeria style Restaurant & the first Restaurant with atmosphere for the State of Texas in Ft.Worth on Friday November 13th, 1953. They opened a second Italian Inn location in 1967, offering Opera Singing Waiters in a basement setting. The original was opened for 43 years, the second location was opened for 46 years, closing in 2013. This 60 year legacy earned a place in Fort Worth history books & placed those that experienced them in their hearts for generations.
It did not come easy though. My father was also a Radio & Television Announcer for the first 10 years of the opening of the Restaurant & knew the importance of Promoting his Restaurants consistently, especially with new Restaurants opening every year.
After my mother passed away & my sisters & I inherited the Original location, we knew along with maintaining the quality of the food & our inviting atmosphere, our father had taught us Innovative Promotions were the keys to not only keeping the doors open, they were vital elements to the longevity of our Restaurants.
However, making this advertising affordable both with our time & money, was a big challenge.
We could no longer rely on being the first (& only) pizzeria or spaghetti restaurant after Pizza Hut, Pizza Inns, Spaghetti Warehouse & especially when Olive Garden came to town. Nor could we rely on our weekend business to carry us through the week when these competitors started to take some of it with their bigger advertising budgets competing against us every week.
So we began promoting, becoming the first Restaurant to offer 2 for 1 Spaghetti & Meat Sauce Tuesdays, Lasagna Wednesdays, created the first Salad Bar for the State with all the antipasto & all the spaghetti you can eat & opened a wine bar with a bottomless wine glass (with a free ride home if needed).
We not only put those promotions in all our advertising as taglines, we added them to our front sign!
These competitors started offering Pizza buffets, promoted unlimited soup & breadsticks along with unlimited amount of advertising to try to even the playing field.
However, it didn't work, as they may have had some of the same kind of food, our customers always came back because these competitors could not give them the feeling that our unique atmosphere could, which we made sure to include in all our advertising.
The following article came from the fb group “Cowtown eateries closed & forgotten” & describes the other reason & the inspiration we created Swavimages.com to hopefully help those Mom & Pop restaurants stand & shine for decades too before it is too late.
“Standing in the Empty Room: The Quiet Death of the Neighborhood Mom and Pop
Most Mom-and-Pop restaurant owners aren’t in it to become millionaires; they are there to serve their community and provide for their families. But today, they operate under a state of constant siege. Between landlords raising the rent, delivery apps taking 30% of the commission, and the skyrocketing cost of ingredients, the modern economy has become a predatory machine. These entities "take what they need" to satisfy their own bottom lines, leaving the owners with only the scraps—just enough to stay open another month, but never enough to actually thrive.
It is a relationship where the "big guys" systematically bleed the "little guy" dry. These businesses don't survive on venture capital; they survive on the backs of individuals—a grandmother’s recipes, a father’s work ethic, or a daughter’s sacrifice. This is the "very best" that the business has to offer.
The tragedy occurs when the pressure finally breaks that human element. If the stress of the business leads to illness, or if the most dedicated family member has to leave for a corporate job just to survive, the heart of the business is gone. And without that heart, the business cannot last.
When a Mom-and-Pop shop finally closes, the neighborhood loses far more than a place to eat. It loses its "very best" part—its character and its history. Developers or big-box chains may take over the physical location, but in doing so, they erase the intangible magic that once made a collection of buildings feel like a home. They are left with the property, but the neighborhood is left with the ghost of what it used to be.”
